Can I use the Technogym App to record other activities?

With Technogym App you have a faithful ally to monitor all your workouts.

Technogym App gives you the possibility to track your individual workouts, both indoor and outdoor. Within easy reach of your pocket, you'll have at your disposal a ready-to-use tool, an essential device waiting to lead you to the workout experience you've always dreamed of.


To find out about the two areas dedicated to recording your workouts, just follow these simple steps:



  1. Access Technogym App (you can download Technogym App by going here);
  2. You'll find yourself in the main interface, dedicated to the Coach section. Scroll down until you find the voice "Set up a workout";
  3. Click on the light blue box "Train Outdoors" if you want to do an outdoor cardio activity, or on the yellow box "Login to the Equipment" if you want to track your activities using the equipment.


Train Outdoors

In this area of Technogym App you can track the parameters related to your cardio workouts.


  • First, choose the type of exercise you want to do, distinguished among Walk / Hike / Run / Ride. You can do this thanks to the black panel at the top, characterized by small icons representing the various programs;
  • Once you have identified the type of exercise you want to do, start your workout in free mode by pressing the yellow start button at the bottom of the interface. The workout will begin automatically after a short countdown of 3 seconds.

Goal Workout Feature

Train Outdoors section also gives you the possibility to start goal workouts, i.e. activity in which you can set a specific goal you want to achieve. 

To experience a goal workout, follow this procedure:


  1. Select the small white box "Freestyle" at the bottom of the screen. You will see 3 new parameters appearing, that you can modify as you wish (Distance, Duration, MOVEs);
  2. Select the parameter you want to set. A black value will immediately show up in the center of the map. To modify it, press on the value and insert a new one, typing it using the keyboard that appeared with the new screen. 
  3. Save the value by pressing the yellow "Set" button, and you're done.

Keep in mind that if you want to change your goal, just select a new parameter in the white panel and follow the same procedure just listed.

GPS Audio Notifications

Before you start your workout, we recommend you set to GPS audio notifications up to your liking so that you are not disturbed during your activity.

You can do this by selecting the white button with the gear-shaped icon at the bottom right of the interface.

You'll find yourself in a new screen, where you'll have several items at your disposal, related to GPS audio feedback notifications. You can enable or disable them through the appropriate buttons on the right side (on the top you also have available the function to connect your heart rate monitor, if you use it).



After starting your Outdoor workout, you will find a general overview in which you can see:


  • The parameter you have decided to track right in the center (if you started a workout in free mode, you will have the elapsed time);
  • The km you have done;
  • The current training time;
  • Your bpm, i.e. beats per minute, if you have connected a heart rate monitor;
  • Plus, if you scroll to the right with your finger, you can see additional parameters consisting in: km per minute, MOVEs you are gaining and the kcal you have burned so far (don't know what MOVEs are? Check them out in this article!)

If you want to pause the workout, press on the yellow button in the center mentioned above. A blue  screen will come up with a summary of the values reached so far.


If you wish to end your workout before you have reached your goal, you can do this by pressing the "End Workout" voice in the bottom. Your progress will be carefully saved in the section Activity > Last Activity.

Remember that you end a workout too soon, a notification will appear, alerting you that your training was way too short to be saved within Activity (check more about Activity section of Technogym App by going here).


Login to the Equipment


If you are using Technogym’s equipment, through this area of Technogym App you have the possibility to follow your own training programs - while still keeping track of all your progress!

By pressing on the yellow "Login to the Equipment" box, you will access a new screen that will allow you to connect your Technogym equipment to the app. 

To do this, you have two different ways:

  • You can connect to the equipment via Bluetooth, by bringing your device close enough to let the connection (make sure you have enabled Bluetooth from your smartphone's settings);
  • You can connect by scanning the QR code on the equipment's LCD screen, if the equipment is connected.


Please note that if the equipment does not have a dedicated LCD screen, the connection via QR code will not be possible.
